Sam Powers

Flexible Learning Coordinator

I work for Warwickshire County Council’s Flexible Learning Team. We identify alternative providers and opportunities for students who are unable to access the mainstream education system due to social communication and interaction difficulties. As a team we have placed 18 students at LAMP, and have seen some great progress.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Sport Studies, and am currently working towards a PGCert in Autism (Children). I am passionate about helping students on the autism spectrum to make progress and to reach their potential. I have worked with a number of students who have really excelled once they have been in the right environment, with the right teaching methods; LAMP offers both of these things.

I am delighted to be working with LAMP to further enhance their specialism around students on the autism spectrum, supporting the team to support the students, and as a result I make one or two visits to LAMP each week.
