Computer Games Development
If you're about to start our course in Computer Games Development, you can get a head start by having a look at some of the free resources available below.

Download Stencyl
Stencyl is one of the software packages we use to design games. Over the course, you will create a new platform game, similar Mario or Sonic. You can download this at home for free on Windows or Mac.
Stencyl uses the programming language Scratc, which was developed by the university MIT to teach young people how to code using coloured blocks and real sentences.

Logic Pro
X
Logic Pro is one of the software packages we use to create sound design in games. It is used to create background music, and incidental sounds like jumping. It is only available for Mac, and is not free. You can use it in our creative suite, and render your finished pieces as mp3s that you can play at home.

RPG Maker MV is one of the software packages we use to create games. It is used to create RPG's in the style of Pokemon on Zelda, and is very easy to learn. It is not free, but you can use it in our Creative Suite, and download your finished game as a playable app on Windows or Mac.

Adobe
Photoshop
Photoshop is one of the software packages we use to create game art. It is used to create backgrounds, characters, and animations. It is available for Mac and Windows, but is not free. You can use it in our creative suite, and render your finished pieces as JPEGs to take home.
