Music has always been a part of my life, since my Dad played old Beatles records to me as a child.
I started vocal lessons when I was 10, which was when I started to understand how to use music as an aid to express myself. Musical theatre allowed me to express the emotions of the characters, but also myself. During this time, I got a grade 5 in musical theatre.
I was the singer in a band for four years and that was the first time my own songs were being performed on a stage. The band helped me work creatively with people to make something that we were all proud of.
In 2021, we performed at the Godiva Festival. Before I had to leave, we performed at multiple venues in Coventry and Birmingham, supporting local bands and headlining a few.
Now, I work at the Live ‘n’ Diverse project with people my age who love music and want to spend time creating music.
I also work at The Tin, a music venue in Coventry, which is where my band practised and often performed.
